However, it doesn't make it very portable as you would lose all of your settings/user data associated with that program if you were to blindly just copy the program files from their folder in program files.[/quote]

So if you only use it on one computer, then you are basically using the same program on either one. The portable is not from Adobe, but it functions the exact same. If you took the portable to another computer, you would not have any of your settings saved, it would be like a new version of PS.
